Kim Conaty is Curator at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University. Previously, she was the Sue and Eugene Mercy, Jr., Assistant Curator of Drawings and Prints at The Museum of Modern Art, where she organized the exhibition Abstract Generation: Now in Print (2013). At MoMA, she worked with Christophe Cherix on several exhibitions, including In & Out of Amsterdam: Travels in Conceptual Art, 1960–1976 (2009), Fluxus Preview (2009), Contemporary Art from the Collection (2010), and Print/Out (2012). Conaty also oversaw the processing of MoMA's Gilbert and Lila Silverman Fluxus Collection Gift. She regularly taught classes for MoMA Courses and has also published and lectured on topics including Avalanche magazine, East German artist posters, Wade Guyton, and Jonathan Meese. Prior to MoMA, she served as the Biennial Coordinator for the 2008 Whitney Biennial and Curatorial Fellow at the Grey Art Gallery. She holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, an M.A. from Williams College, and B.A. from Middlebury College. She held a Clark Fellowship in 2014 and a Fulbright Fellowship in Germany in 2003.
