Zofia Kulik is a sculptor, performance artist, and photographer. Born on September 14th, 1947 in Wrocław, she currently lives in Łomianki near Warsaw. In 1965-1971, she studied in the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and from 1970-1987 she worked together with Przemysław Kwiek, as the artistic duo KwieKulik. In 1996 she received the Paszport Polityki (Polityka Passport) award. Her work, The Splendor of Myself II, a series of nine silver gelatin prints created in 1997, were acquired with the support of the Modern Women’s Fund by The Museum of Modern Art in 2017.
