Patryk Tomaszewski is a Ph.D. student in Art History at The Graduate Center, CUNY. His research examines modern and contemporary art of Eastern and Central Europe, focusing specifically on Socialist Realism and art made during the decade following the end of World War II. Patryk is currently the Mellon Humanities Alliance Teaching Fellow at La Guardia Community College and Adjunct Lecturer in Art History at Borough of Manhattan Community College. He previously completed internship programs at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Patryk’s writing was published in ArtMargins Online, "post" and, most recently, in the 2018 exhibition catalogue titled “Wojciech Fangor: The Early 1960s” organized at Heather James Fine Art in New York.
He received a B.A. with Honors in Art History from Fordham University in New York and an M.A. in History of Art and Archaeology from The Institute of Fine Arts, NYU.
